Jack up the car & put it on stands. Remove both motor mount
bolts, raise the motor by jacking it up on the balancer with a piece of
wood between the jack & the balancer. Wedge blocks between the
mounts on the motor & the ones on the frame to hold the motor
up. That usually gives you enough clearance to get the pan
out. Sometimes you will have to turn the crankshaft to clear some
of the counterweights on the crank, so you might want to pull the spark
plugs out before you jack everything up. Hope that helps.
