I had a relay and I put it as close to the starter as possible. It works! The starter problem have plagued me for over a year now but it seems to be gone now :-)

You'll have to have your key in the run position and then hit the switch for power to the solenoid. I actually have my El Camino set up that way. If I bypass the ignition key & go directly to the battery it starts every time now! So I'll simply connect the ignition circuit to a relay instead. Will a 30Amp relay do? Pelle
