Dennis,
The Muncie shifter linkage was real junk. Most guys changed them out
shortly after buying their car. Unless your looking for a 100 percent
correct restoration I would go with a Hurst shifter for your Muncie
transmission. If you want the correct look in the car you can adapt the
Muncie shifter handle to the Hurst linkage.

I've seen some Muncie 4 speed shifters for sale on ebay.Most of them are
missing the linkage.Does anybody know where you can buy the linkage for
these old shifters? I want to change out my turbo 400 for a 4 speed Muncie
on my 68. Anything special a guy should watch out for? Thanks for any info
