I know this is a dumb question but I have never changed an HEI distributor cap before and would like to know if there is anything I need to know. I know that you have to spread some lubricant somewhere on the upper part but not sure where. I need to figure out why the car is not running well, so I am starting with a basic tuneup, which it is overdue for anyway.
