Karl... I have use the EAST wood system a number of times. Their Rattle cans
of both Rust encapsulator and chassis black go a long way per can. They
sell a kit of brush on primer and rattler can over coat will do a Chevelle
frame. and control arms. The r chassis over coat is an Epoxy to it's pretty
tuff stuff as for the rust encapsulator ???? but they clam it's better then

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Best primer - frame/ suspension parts
Date: Thu, 7 Sep 2006 23:34:35 -0400
With the rotisserie almost done, I'm within a week or two of taking my body
off the frame.
I plan on sanding/ sandblasting it down as well as removing, sanding/
sandblasting all the suspension stuff as well.
My question is, what sort of primer should I use on these parts? Because
of
where I am doing this (outside, not in an enclosed area), I'd prefer to use
a rattle can, but if that's not going to yield good results, I'll do what I
have to do (and I have a compressor and an HVLP gun).
Anyone have any advice on this?
