I don't know where you're at, but I had a company in Marshall Texas
sandblast and powder coat my '71 Elky frame a couple of years ago. They did
it for $225.00 complete. A few months ago I took them the frame from the
'67 convertible I'm doing and they had increased their prices... $275.00 to
sandblast and powder coat a frame now. They did a great job both times. In
the case of the convertible, I ended up taking the body to them for
sandblasting as well. They charged $640.00 for everything, frame, body and

With the rotisserie almost done, I'm within a week or two of taking my

off the frame.
I plan on sanding/ sandblasting it down as well as removing, sanding/
sandblasting all the suspension stuff as well.
My question is, what sort of primer should I use on these parts? Because
of
where I am doing this (outside, not in an enclosed area), I'd prefer to
use
a rattle can, but if that's not going to yield good results, I'll do what
I
have to do (and I have a compressor and an HVLP gun).
Anyone have any advice on this?
