I've read about the electronic flasher fixing similar problems. You might also want to check the grounds. Follow the bulb wiring back to where it grounds to the chassis and make sure that the connection is clean, rust free & tight. Poor ground connections cause all sort of strange electric problems. Also make sure that the contacts in the bulb housing are clean. The LED lamps are probably exposing an existing problem that you have had all along. Good luck.
