Glad you got it,..  reminded me - when I put my tilt column on several years 
ago it came with a new turn signal switch.. I was also replacing the dash 
harness, forward light harness etc..  turn signals were really erratic. 
Touched/wiggled/checked everything.. finaly took old turn signal switch and 
plugged it in under the dash and all worked fine.  pulled out the new and 
put in the old.. still there.. disassembled the new switch and found metal 
fragments in it.. excedrin headache # 10... ds
