John,
     I don't think it's  a good idea to run mismatched parts on the steering 
gear.
If the hole in the pitman arm is larger than the stud in the centerlink it's 
probably just sliding around the stud  rather than turning the stud in it's 
bearing/bushing.
You should be able to go to the parts store and get the second series 
centerlink and matching idler arm.
Or
You could get a pitman arm with smaller hole.
I'd be sure to inspect what you have now for wear before buying anything.
