I can't help with improving the spark plug clearance on your headers, but

Passenger side is fine on mine, just the two on the driver side. As long as
(collectively) they've been making headers for these cars, you'd think they
could extend the tube out away from the head another inch to allow a plug
socket in there.  It's not like there isn't room.

Thats the problem I have too Dale...I don't know what brand I have on my 66
with a 327 ....But...I have to drop the the header to remove the #6
plug...The  #5 is a pretty tight fit but I can manage to get it out...same
as the #1...
