Thanks Dan for the advice. I did go to Lowes a couple weeks ago on a friday
evening. It was pretty cool. And I've gone over to the Wall mart on rt. 43 a
couple times on saturday evenings. No shows yet Just cruize ins. Thanks

Bob,

The fitting above the oil filter is for your sending unit and the wire is blue.

As for testing the gages, I can't be much help. It took me 4 tries, pulling the
dash each time to get everything working in mine. One suggestion I can make is
to place a box on the floor on the passenger side, drop the column onto the
seat and place a blanket over it. Set the dash on these and make sure
everything works before you bolt it back up. I had a tough time getting the
dash lights to contact the repop printed circuit. If I turned them to their
positive stop, the brass contacts would pass the brass on the circuit.

Have you had your car to any shows or cruise-in's yet this year? I have had
mine out but just cruizin.

Thanks, Dan

Could some body tell me how to test a temp. guage and a fuel guage. My temp
guage is pegged all the way up, and my fuel guage is sitting on empty. neither
one works, so if I go into the dash to replace the printed curcuit, Is there a
way to test the guages to see if there going to work with a new printed
curcuit. Iam really dreading tearing my dash out. So any advice would be
greatly appriciated. One more thing, there is a connection just above the oil
filter. Its an angled fitting. Is this where the oil press. sending unit is
supposed to be. And is the wire that connects to it blue.  Thank you all.  Bob
