[Chevelle-list] Bucket Seat Bases

Hello,  i  have  a  67  chevelle,  the  bucket  seat  bases  are  metal,  iam  
told  bases  are  the  same  from  66  thru  72  my  question  is  this,  did  
general  motors  go  from  metal  to  plastic  in  the  later  models ?  or  
were  they  all  made  from  metal ?
