It really depends on the shop. I think most like to get their own parts.
Bearings should be easy to just pick up at your local parts store. You
shouldn't have to order them if they are OK with you bringing your own parts.

require a Machine shop to do it. In general, will they expect me to provide

Local shops are already closed (can't ask them what they prefer) and if I
need to order a set of bearings I'd like to do it tonite or tomorrow so I can
