Hi All you Chi lovers out there..... I have a small dilemma and was after some offers of advise if anyone has had experience in the area. I have a 3 month old chi pup Gem and I have almost successfully paper trained her now, she sleeps in a large doggy cage at night which she has her bed up one end and the newspaper up the other, there is also a little spot for her food and water. When we let her out each morning there is one spot in the lounge room we keep paper and she has also learnt that when she is out she needs to go on that. The problem is that I need a solution to the newspaper as I don't want to be dealing with this in the long term as it's messy and un hygienic, she will be living in our apartment with us indoors and so her toilet will permanently need to be inside. I have heard of the "Wee pads" but I don't like the idea of this either as it would be no cleaner/more attractive than newspaper, especially for "number 2's" My work colleague has told me that she used to have Chihuahua's and the lived inside, she said her chi's were training to do their business in a litter tray. I like the sound of this as this looks alot more hygienic and there is not odour when they good to the toilet. Does anyone currently use this system? Does it work? The only thing I am hesitant with is if she start messing around and playing in the litter.. Anyway any input would be great as I want to start getting her used to her permanent regime asap. Thanks everyone, Have a great day :) Renee. ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
