can breeders thoughts be shared here why they think chi's need 12 weeks before being let go.and not eight .  What kind of behavior problems would incur if let go at 8 weeks since they no longer are nursing.

It isn't so much that the pups need to remain with mom, as it is that chi's are so small that with inexperienced chi owners, they can inadvertently put the chi pups at risk for danger simply because they do not realize how fragile they are. I wouldn't be real concerned placing a 8 week old chi with someone with a lot of chi experience, but for people who are owning their first chi or don't have much chi experience, it is for the safety of the pup to wait till they are at least 12 weeks old.
