Hi,
I
agree with Lacey’s advice. A week is such a short time for him to
adjust. When we got Trinity she was a ball of nerves, coming into a strange
home, new people, a new cat. It took her a while to feel comfortable with us and
now it’s like she never lived anywhere else but here. J She also did her fair
share of peeing. Good luck!

Your chi will probably out
grow this. He just needs time to get used
to you, and that could take a few months. Don't
scold him for this
though, as it will make him more fearful. Fifi did
this also when we
first got her. She stopped after she learned that
we would never hurt
her. As he gets more used to you, his
surroundings, and becomes more
confident he'll stop. Put yourself in his shoes,
wouldn't you be
scared and submissive if you were the new kid on the
block and all you
noticed was a huge handing coming down at you? I
know I would be..lol!
Maybe avoid coming straight down on him. Try
sitting down with your
hands out to him, but resting on the floor, and
let him come to you.
Good luck! ~Lacey
