That is correct - cats need a lot of Taurine. Cats should NEVER eat exclusively dog food because of that reason. Cat food is supplemented with Taurine, but dog food is not, as dogs do not need it the same way. Taurine deficiancies in cats can cause a wide range of problems including blindness and death. Back to the original question: I feed the cats on a microwave stand.
