How sad but it unfortunately is true. So many of the people I have known and know see our animals as something to dispose of like last years fashion accesory. I have a little black chi that I have been treating for valley fever for half a year now. He is slowly improveing. He got sick so suddenly and was so weak. It was almost like overnight he was unable to stand get up. He had been ok then almost died. I have had so many say put him under, but slowly he is getting better . Last night he jumped up into my lap for the first time in months. I and my sons have hand fed him, we give him his medicine twice a day have held him in the night when he cried. He is part of our family. He fought for life so hard. He would crawl out to see me from his little bed because hecouldn't stand. The vet said he had never seen an animal fight so hard to live. I look at Chuy and see a survivior he loves life. I can't imagine giving up on him. Now he is doing so much better. He plays, cuddles and enjoys his little life in our family.
