This is a very good point that Marsha brought up. My only hesitation with getting the pup early (and this is totally from a moms view point) is that when Christmas gets here, your daughter may feel like she is not getting anything for Christmas. I could see my boys thinking this way...lol. But in the pup's best interest, I would say get it early. How old is the puppy now? ~Lacey
