I read today that Royal Canin cat food has much more than the minimum of added taurine; you could try getting some of the canned food, and a can every few days I would think would be enough. My cats like the dog food, but they also get canned and dry cat food too. They seem to like taunting the dogs that they have a bowl of food that the dogs can't reach. lol. The research I have seen seems to indicate that it isn't feeding dog food that is bad (that dog food wont hurt), but it is the lack of that one mineral that is bad. Seems to me then, if I could get that mineral in a supplement of some kind, I could continue allowing my cats to eat what they prefer.
