Since my cats are mainly outside, I don't use a litter box. However, a bladder infection (if my dog experience is comparable to cats) would make some sense. I will look into that. Thanks for the suggestion. I am actually planning a trip to the vet after the holidays. Our regular vet is taking an extended holiday and I don't yet know his new assistant well enough to trust him lol. I am also taking my mom's chi in. He is not acting well. For over a month he has been sick. We took him to the vet and at the time he was running a slight fever. Vet gave antibiotics and mentioned possible appendicitis. Well, he is no longer running a fever at all, but just is not acting right. He has lost so much weight and even his muscle mass seems to be deteriorating. He still eats good. He use to play, ect., but now he will only lay around. I am very worried about him. As soon as our vet is back on the 2nd, he is going in again. They gotta find out what is wrong! Marsha
