For Several years my carin Terrior had a lump appear on her neck. Unfortunately it was right where her collar laid.  The vet would simply use a needle and drain it.  It would be gone for a few months and then would start to grow again.  And we would do it again.  He explained that if he did surgery he would have to scrape out a good size area and there was still no guarantee that it would not come back.  It never seemed to bother her. Was about the size of a quarter.

Ya know what, Bunny has a ball on her shoulder, It feels free floating and is just a round soft ball, feels like a fatty deposit or piece of cartilage. I am going to mention to the Vet when we go for her surgeries this month. Let me know what you find out cuz I am very curious as to what this might be!

Hi guys,
This sounds silly, but, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience (not necessarily a specific chi issue) with a lump on your dog. Trinity came from a foster home with 6 other dogs, all much, much larger than she is and she had a bump/lump on her nose.  We thought that she probably got it from playing with the larger dogs and that it would go away. Well, it never did go away.  It is not hard, nor is it soft, just kind of like the rest of her body feels. It doesn't bother her at all, no pulling back or yipping when we pet her face.

When she had her vet visit, the vet's main concern was that she might have an abscessed tooth but, her teeth were fine.  He basically couldn't say what it was and dismissed it.  He said just to keep an eye on it if it started to get bigger, bother her, etc.  It has stayed the same since we got her early last spring.  I am just curious if anyone has seen this before.  Maybe just a fatty deposit?  Trinity will be three in the spring and except for her obnoxious habit of getting into the most bizarre things she is very healthy.

The attached picture really highlights the little lump, most of her pictures it doesn't even show. Thanks.
~Patricia
