If I find out what is going on I will let you know. Thanks for the info on the cottage cheese. I will keep some on hand as well. Kim

Not the throw up part. but the bloody slimy diarrhea. I have had Pepper to the vet for it numerous times. Problem is, by the time he gets to the vet, it is all over and the vet has not been able to determine a cause despite numerous test. Every time it happens, I get so worried. If you do discover a cause, let me know and I can have Pepper tested for it as well. In the mean time, here is what my vet has told me to do when it happens, and it does work wonders......cottage cheese. I keep a small bowl on hand and each time he has this it lasts an average of 3 days and he consumes at least half of the small bowl if not all of it. He is a 7 pounder, so it does take more for him, however, vet has told me it will not harm him, so no worry of giving too much. Give this a try. And again, if you find out what causes it, let me know. > > Marsha > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Kim > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, December 30, 2005 7:34 PM > Subject: [Chihuahuas] My baby...Help!! > > > I hope that someone can help me. I am inbetween paychecks right now and cannot afford to take my baby to the vet. She has been doing great. Well we went to bed last night (she sleeps with me. I know that is probably not good. But I cannot help it) She woke me up crying and practically scratching the skin off of my neck. She goes potty outside but we don't live in the best neighborhood so I have a spot in my room where a puppy pad stays. Well I put her down on the floor and she raced off to the puppy pad. She went pee and Then poop. It was diarhea. I figured that it was because my daughter forgot to pick up her dogs food yesterday and misty ate some. She also threw up. Then she came back over and I put her back into bed with me. A couple of hours later she woke up the same way so I put her down and all over again she ran to the pad and pee'd and went diarhea and threw up. I was like that is not good. We went back to sleep then my alarm goes off for me to get up for work and I put her down and she goes over to the pad and again the same thing...diarhea and throw up. So I went over to get her and this is what freaked me out. Her diarhea was at first just diarhea. Then I notices that it had started coming out jelly like and bloody. I had to go to work so I took her and put her in bed with my daughter and explained everything to her. Including making sure misty had plenty of water to drink and to make sure she picked up her dogs food. I called several times from work and my daughter said she did the same thing about three more times and then everysince then it has stopped. She is not throwing up anymore. Her poop is still really soft but not runny anymore and no more blood. She is eating well and drinking alot. She seems pretty happy. Not quite as playful as normal but not a whole lot off of her normal self. Can anyone tell me what could be or have been wrong?? I have a week until I get paid. Right now I am c ompletly broke. > > Thanks Kim > > > > " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends! > Join today!
