Julie is right about the teething and ears falling thing. Normally, if a pups ears have been standing and go down, they almost always come back up. You can help them by massaging them up to help strengthen the cartilage. ~Lacey

I have read that when they teeth , there ears tend to floop and will go back to normal after finish teething. You should not wait, (the younger the better) ask your Vet the best way to do it for your puppy. Sometimes the cartridge in the ear just isn't strong enough to keep them upright, I had that with a Dobie I raised. Of course those are cropped but one of the pups had one ear that never would stand. Dobies are so pretty with their hound dog ears and long tails, I don't know why breeders have to crop them...... Back in the 50's people liked to have a collies ears tipped and those you would bend over a cotton roll and tape in place, after a couple months they would stay that way. Check with your vet. I think I saw a picture recently that looked like the ears were tapped, sorry I can't remember which one it was. > Kay > > dobza wrote: When I first got Boo, both of his ears went backwards.
