Hi   GAH, I hope no one is going to be bugged at me for what I'm going to say, but I can't help saying it.  I really enjoy this group.  I've never belonged to yahoo email group that was as nice as this one.  I didn't really like the comment about the science diet dog food though.  I think everyone in this group takes great care of their dogs and love their dogs and I think everyone in this group feeds their dogs many different things.  I do NOT use science diet dog foods.  Hill's Science diet isn't one dog food, there are many kinds.  Yes, some of it does contain preservatives that can cause cancer.  I'm older than many members of this group, I think, and if I remember correctly, SD was one of the first dog foods that really tried to make a better dog food.  I know many many people who have used it for years that have extremely healthy dogs and rave about it.   OK, my worry is that if we ever get into bashing someone's choice of dog food this group is going to be in trouble.  The person that suggested the SD was being helpful.  Sometimes someone will say something in the group that I totally disagree with, but if it works for them....    That's all I wanted to say on THAT!   I think dog food is a fascinating topic though.  The dog nutrition group sounds awesome, I may try that one and just quit if there is squabbling, lol.   Michelle, the tips on the 2 dog foods were great.  I couldn't find the one online, but did find the Karma one.  I'm asking for them to send me a free sample, because my chi is such a picky eater and I'm so tired of buying her dog foods she won't eat.  lol  Here is the Karma link:   Karma - Organic Food For Dogs   katie " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
