jack
rat is a good name... looks like Jack Russell and some kind of terrier in my
opinion.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Opinion wanted, which breeds are mixed in this young fella
this.
Attached are pictures of Nippy, my friend's dog. He
was found abandoned in a rural bean field about 18
months ago I guess. He is probably around 2 now. He is
the most devoted and obedient little fellow you can
imagine. We think he must have had a rough puppy-hood,
because he used to be afraid of everything, and would
cower if he thought he might be in trouble. Now he's a
very well adjusted little boy.
We've gone back and forth on what mix we think he is.
We've got it down to Jack Russel and Rat Terrier mix.
My friend has raised Jack Russell's in the past, and
has a 14-yr old long hair J.R. now. But is the other
part, Rat Terrier? Those ears sure seem right for Rat
Terrier. (I call him a Jack Rat). Or do you think he
might be Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix? OR something
else? He only has long wisps of hair on his shoulders,
spine and neck.
I just wonder what other informed doggy fans might
guess.
Thanks for your thoughts :)
