Hi Lin,
I'm up north.......not far from the Canadian Border, a very long way from you and I've decided to keep all of these guys, but  I'm sure there are lots of breeders closer to you.........and you could see the dogs before you make arrangements to get one.  You might even check the rescues down there and save one's life.  Also, Petsmart has rescuers that are at thier stores all the time looking for homes for dogs and cats.  I'm not trying to discourage you, honest and I really do hope you find exactly what you're looking for.  Just thinking that you may find a little Chihuahua there or through a breeder or rescuer in your state.  IF I were selling these guys I wouldn't even consider shipping.  I wouldn't ship an animal of any kind anywhere.  It's awfully scary for them.  I'm not looking for money for my babies either.  So money isn't something I'd
even consider....How can anyone really put a price on a life?  I couldn't.    I'm getting really bonded with the little ones and really want to keep them all together.  I have only got the one little girl and she's special because she's going to have "long hair".  Mom, Dad and her 3 brothers are all "short hairs", but she's a "throwback to one of the upper branches of her family tree and she is chocolate with tan markings that are symetrical and she just looks like she's "smiling at you" all the time........lol.  I just fell in love with her.  I couldn't part with her any more than I could part with my "human daughter".......lol.  I hope you can find what you are looking for closer to where you live.  You might even pick up a Dog Fancy Magaziine at Petsmart and look in the back for breeders of Chihuahuas in the Carolinas.  Let me know how you make out with your search.  Sash.

Good for you Sasha!  No puppy breeder should get your pups.  I don't know where you're located, but I'm in NC and I've been looking for a companion/playmate for my 15 month old female Chihuahua to grow up with.  My only problem is that I can't afford to buy one.  When I got Sparky I signed a contract agreeing to have her spayed and I did so.  If I ever get another pup, I will agree to the same thing.  Where are you located and how much would you charge for the little girl?  I know they are worth a lot, but I'm rich in love...not money.  I am disabled and home all the time with my furkids.  I also have a senior blind toy poodle.  I love my furkids to pieces and could only promise to love and spoil a new one just as much as I do the ones I have now.

Let me know,
Lin, Tutu & Sparky

i think you are doing the most responsible and right thing!  Kudos.  Keep them all - neuter and spay and give them a great life.

Hello Vicki,
I just signed this petition.  I have two Chihuahuas a male and female and they bred when I was in the midst of a long distance move ~ I now have four puppies.  My new landlord's grandson, who is 25 years old had asked how much I was selling them for, and I told him.  He then said he was wanting to buy one from me and one from someone else and get into the "breeding business".  Sooooooooo, guess what~!  He is NOT getting one of "MY" babies.  They deserve a better life than that.  Three of them are males, and one is a female.  I've decided to keep them all and spay the little girl when she is old enough........"along with her Mommy".  The funniest thing happened with these little guys........their parents are the "short haireds" and the three boys came out with the "short hair", but the little girl's fur is a different texture......much softer and fuzzier.  I think there must be a "long hair" somewhere in the gene pool, what do you think?  I'll take some more pictures of them and email them to you all.  They're three weeks old already.......eyes open and they're playing and fat as can be.  I need to contact my Vet and check to see when I need to bring them in for shots and worming.  When I got the parents, they were already about three months old and had all of those things.  I'm passing this petition along.......I abhorre puppy millers.  Will go 100 miles out of my way to shut them down.  I don't even like pet stores selling live animals.  Sash.

Please go to this link to stop a puppy mill in MN. The owner has
agreed to debark 600 dogs to control noise. As you know, debarking a
dog is a very cruel surgery. Not to mention this is a puppy mill.
Thank you,
Vicki
