Yes the water bottle is one of the best tools for especially barking or chewing something they shouldn't be chewing! And it is getting to the point they (4 dogs) see me reach for it and they stop! Except outside, our one pug is a constant barker...cannot get him to stop.
I purchased one of those electronic things you hang on the wall that emits a sound that only the dogs hear, well I cannot get that to work either! When we can, without Sparticus (pug) knowing we are coming we throw a glass of water out towards him. We don't throw it on him, but just to startle him, and that works for a little while. But then he starts barking at anyone and anything he can. Any ideas would help us all with this problem. I know they are dogs and they do bark, but for no real reason is driving my hubby and me crazy.
