I hope it wasn't me that said the collapsing trachea
wasn't fatal. I just said my vet said in her 17 years of practice she had
never seen even a severe dog with it die from it. I had read some web site
that said dogs can die from this then I went and got Sophie in right
away. Yes, it is scary. More so, I think, if you don't know what it
is. Sophie doesn't seem to have the prolonged episodes of it some of the
posters on this describe. She seems to more have a long honk...maybe
two. Then it will happen again later in the day, etc.
