How old is Thor?
My puppy is 4 months and I will say he is 95% house trained
(sometimes he doesn't bring his hind legs into the litter box).
Timing is the name of the game!
This is what I did;
~~~I Woke him up from his nap,
then took him to the potty area
(I use a dog litter pan in the bathroom w/ shredded newspaper it's
confined and he can't get away from me).
Also,I rubbed a bit of his urine smell on the potty area.
I told him to "do your business" & I sat there until he finally
urinated, praised him, and gave him a treat. The first few times he
did it within 2 or 3 minutes. Boy, I thought I had the smartest dog
in the WORLD! After that, a few times I sat there for almost 1/2
hour or so until he did it. Praises and treats followed.
~~I feed him then immediatly take him to the potty area, and tell
him to "do your business".
~~~In my large crate, I have his cube style dog bed in the back end
and I leave a few pieces of kibble scattered around the front end.
He has never pottied in the crate. Dogs don't like to potty where
they eat and sleep.
~Don't be discouraged stick with it! Your puppy will learn in time:)
