Betty...My chihuahuas (4) love my husband and lay on his lap all day long, Fox and Chico are 5 1/2 and Gypsy Rose is about the same age (she is a rescue) and Scoobie Doo is 3 1/2 and he is rescue also. It seems to be just their nature to bark at everything coming and going, especially going! they do not bark at me tho when I enter a room but if I am with him and just getting back from town or something they all bark up a storm, and they never fail to bark at him both coming and going anytime he walks out of the room or out the door. They are on his lap all the time so they do love him so I don't think it is that, it is simply their nature I think...normajean

KimMy 5 year old chi is this way toward my husband. I don't know if he dislikes him or scared of him or what, but he barks at him. If my husband comes anywhere around my pom puppy or my grand daughter when she's visiting Chance goes crazy barking. It really gets on my husbands nerves. He's never done anything to Chance. My husband is not a big dog person like I am though. Betty
