Lacey,
Let's think about this a bit.... Lunch meat is not good for humans,
One of the first words out of a Doctors mouths for someone with a
heart condition, high blood pressure, or even my daughters when they
are expecting is no lunch meat, no cigarettes, no alachol. I'm not
going into what all is wrong with lunch mean, just google it and read
the ingredients. That should spoil your applitate. LOL
Now if it's not good for us, it would not be good for a sick puppy
that already can not hold something down. Oh yes most dog's love it,
even mine, but I'm thinking very sick puppy. Wouldn't some cooked
ground up chicken without a lot of seasonings be better for a sick
puppy, or even strained baby meat, chicken or even better lamb, if
it's just a matter of getting food into it. Not as a regular diet.
I'm afraid this pup was already very sick when it went to it's new
owner. Car sickness in even tiny pups passes in a couple hours, but
this problem is beyond that. So at this point I think we all need to
be praying for Sam and Sparky and praying hard.
I was accused of sending in a Panic post..... No that was not a
panic post, it was in CAPS to get attention. If I ever send in a Panic
post it will be done in HTML from my personal email in Bold, Red and
Large.
I would hope and pray that in the case of a sick, hurt or any other
emergency situation, that the first response from every member of any
group would be to see the Vet immediately. Then for discussion of
what's going on, modify the subject line so the person in need of
quick advice does not have to wade through 20 posts to get the
information he/she needs.
I thought it pretty clear that this new owner is not overly
experienced with a tiny chi pup, nor the sickness she found her self
facing. I think overall as a group we failed her, a few came through,
but I do believe that we could do better then we did. I hope that
without getting all in a huff and slinging dog poo back and forth that
we can learn a lesson here and do better next time.
I didn't mean to insult anyone or step on toes. I simply had to do
what seemed necessary and in a quick mannor. If I did insult anyone
I am sorry.
So let's pray that we have a happy ending to this story.
Kay
