Chris - air in the wind pipe also ,is tragic to a dog

There is a combination of both novices, breeders, and very
knowledgeable owners.  Its a good idea to know which one you're
talking too before giving advice.  Your post stated:

"force the baby food into his mouth.  do you have lunch meat? try that."

Depending on how you read that it might look like you were saying
force the lunch meat.  Also forcing baby food with a syringe. (if
thats what you meant) is not for a novice.  If not done properly you
can get food down the wind pipe.  I've done it a long time ago, but
I'd be a heck of a lot more comfortable having my vet do it and I'm no
novice.

remember I am talking to novice here.  I am on breeder groups and we
suggest things all the time BUT it is to get the pup stable BEFORE
rushing to the vet. I am not sure how far she lives from the vet, or
what the situation, my main intent is to stable the pup IF you have
lunch meat see if he will eat it.  I always keep baby jar food on hand
I know others don't.  BUT I never said to shove lunch meat down his
throat.  That is insane! see if you can get him to eat something
besides dog food since HE WON'T.  Some people, such as myself live a
distance from the vet.  By the time you got in your car and made it to
the vet with a pup in a sugar attack, do you think the dog would make
it? NO, you must do what ever you can to get the pup stable THEN rush
off to the vet.  I do not have a vet right next door, I must travel a
distance.  IF you do that is
>  awesome. do not worry about stablizing the pup and yes, I gues I
should of said CALL the vet, GO to the vet.  I was more focused on
getting food into that pup.
