That is correct. A sir must be 8 months old....not sure about the dam. In
fact, a lady got a pup from me and he was seven months old when he got to her
female....she didn't take precautions because she didn't think he could sir so
young, lol. She had to speed up HIS registration, then had to do all sorts of
paper work to register the litter. The one pup that was produced however, did
not survive, so it was all for naught.

Just throwing this out..but I was at the AKC web site
a week or so ago, and I read that if the dad dog or the mama dog of a litter
is under a certain age(the ages are on the site) the litter cannot be
registered without jumping through a few hoops. (AKC would want proof
when a breeder is saying some "puppy" sired a litter, etc.)
