I think it is important to note that in Canada, the CKC is the Canadian
Kennel Club which is the equivalent of the AKC in the US. However, the us also
has a CKC which is the Canine Kennel Club. Alot of people do not consider the us
version of the CKC to be all that legit, while the Canadian CKC is the official
Canadian version of the AKC.
Does that make a lick of sense....I'm not sure I would understand what I
just said! lol

kennel clubs
In Canada we have the CKC, and the AKC. I remember reading
somewhere that it is easier to register a dog with the AKC than the
CKC so alot of breeders in Canada will register with the AKC. It is
possible to register with both though. The Uk one is called simply the
KC. guess they started the registry??
Other than that, I don't have
alot of info. I do have a rescued mini pin who is tattooed and I wondered
if there was a way to determine through the AKC or CKC where he came from.
It sort of makes me angry that someone would just throw away
their pet....but I guess it happens all the time. Too bad there isn;t a
pet abuser registry like the sex-offender registry
DD.
BTW:
do you breed? I have a bit of a dilemna with Nubi's breeder and would like
some advice.. (off list)
