Marsha
Thank you. Yes Mija is very happy and its so cute when we go out I always say oops lets get your pooper bags and she gets so excited because she loves to go outside.  She's not in any pain and actually despite her disablities she's in the best of health. People stop and say she is perfect her points are exactly what breeders look for but... then they "sigh" when they see how she stands up. I wisper in Mija's ear that shes just to perfect for them lol...I also have a Rott I rescued as well and two parrots.. Mija loves her sister and every day Mija makes her life as if it's one big adventure. I have lots of pic's how do you post them.

Hi and welcome to the group. I am Marsha and I am owned by 5 chis and a host
of other pets as well as 2 skin kids.

How lucky Mija is to have you! I had a chi that had a stroke when he was 11
and for the next 4 years, he was unable to walk. He would pull/drag himself
for short distances, but for the most part, I had to carry him and set him
down to potty or beside his bowl to eat, ect. Many people told me I should
have him put down, but you know what....he was HAPPY!! and that is all that
matters. He may have been physically limited, but he lived a rich life and
was the apple of my eye and very spoilt. In fact, I think he was happier
after the stroke than before because he got so much extra special attention.
So I applaud you in looking beyond Mija's limitations and looking to her
abilities!!!

Send us some pics, and again, welcome to the group!
Marsha
