Nice to hear from you!

The witch hazel will not harm the eyes at all. There are some 
homeopathic doctors who recomend witch hazel for some forms of 
conjunctivitis in humans, as well as in pets. Although I try to be 
careful with Nubi's eyes, he has turned his head on occasion, and 
not given any indication that the witch hazel bothered him. Once he 
licked the cotton ball also, and nothing happened!
