Hi! I hope the 'no bark' works for you, like it did for me.
As far as resuces go, I rescued a mini pin (Sirius) a few months ago so that Nubi would have friend. Sirius is diabetic and take inulin twice a day. People thought I was crazy for taking a dog that already had such 'a huge problem' fortunately, his diabetes is well controled, and he just lives for cudling!! We couldn't be happier with the new addition. Although Nubi is quick to tell him when he is in his bed spot, othwise they get along really really well. Good Luck! I have had other people tell me it's my fault that Mija barks so much because I have asked her to speak and encouraged it. Now maybe she needs to learn "no speak". Wow I am excited about trying this out I know it will take a while but it didnt take her long to learn to speak so maybe this wont be so hard. Shes all tucked away in bed now or I would try it a couple times. She got her summer bath tonight and shes like a little child sleeping so soundlyin my bed. I lost a dog I had rescued 13 years ago just last week and Mija seems to be missing Chea (we all are) she has no dog to play with now. The Rott is to big and old to play with her. I am really considering rescuing another handicapped Chihuahua. But I have got lots of thinking to do Mija likes to be the baby so not sure just what the right thing to do is yet. I got to curb the barking alittle first though. > > ----- Original Message ---- > From: ntvlawher <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, May 29, 2006 11:01:55 PM > Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: Barking > > Hi Jaye, > > My barking solution took a fair bit of time to work out, but the > end results have been very good. > > When Nubi first arrived, he would not bark at all, and then all of a > sudden, he was barking at everything.
