[Chihuahuas] question need answer asap: kitty ear flushing

quick question in need of quick answer......son brought home kitten....it's ears are FULL!! I thought I had some ear flush stuff from the vet around, but I don't........I have tried cleaning them out with warm water....even used a q-tip (very careful), but the crud is so deep it definitely needs something to flush the ears out.....my question is.....anyone have a home remedy?
