MarshaYeah. I don't mean to make light of the question. I know how the barking can get on some people's nerves. It bothers my son and husband sometimes, but chihuahua's do tend to bark. As a matter of fact all my dogs are barkers. Just my luck. I have a Pom, American eskimo, yorkie, schipperke as well as chihuahuas. The only dog I have thats not a bad barker is a german shepard that came here as a stray. He stays outside because he's so much bigger then my others. He'll bark when someone drives up, but usually will stop in a few minutes. My yorkie is 16 years old and her high pitch bark will sometimes grate on the nerves but she's old and a good dog so we put up with it. She can't hear anymore so I think maybe thats why she just keeps barking so long. Betty
