Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for your posts.

Yes, Tinky, WHOSE FULL NAME IS TINKERBELL!, looked like her head had
been scalped. She was just raw skin. Her head looks black now, as she
is and has teeny tiny hairs all over it, but they don't seem like they
are growing. Maybe it's my impatience, since her chest and butt have
fully recovered. Her head has improved since I found her, so maybe it
will just take time. The other areas seemed to grown in so much faster.

You know why I think she was put in our mailbox? I think it's because
we live in such an imperfect world. She was a puppy when I found her
and I think the old owners new she wasn't perfect due to her deformed
back legs and just discarded her. We live in a discarded world. She
also is solid black and if you look at dogs in rescues, most of them are
black. Seems no one wants a black dog. Everything and everyone is
disposable and so was my precious Tinky.

Well, not any more! Tinky is a princess and lives a wonderful life.
She travels with me everywhere I go. Last night, we had been sitting on
the porch before coming in for the night and I kiss her on the head a
couple of times. Then, the thought came to me. That's why her hair is
so slow to come in.......I keep kissing the top of her head!!

Whatever the reason, she has a home that loves her and will keep her
until the day she dies. No, she is not perfect by any means, but
neither am I!

Our insurance man came for his yearly visit the other night and when he
saw Tinky, he said, "What is that?" I told him she was a Chihuahua. He
said he had never seen a dog so small that wasn't a puppy. He should've
seen her before she gained some weight!

Thanks for all your emails. Can't wait to read and learn from the list.

Kathy....and Tinky
