Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had experiences with their chihuahua's
teeth & gums. My chi is 3 years old, and she has had nasty breath
since I adopted her at age 1. She had a retained baby tooth but it
fell out, and since then, the gums in the area (front teeth) have been
inflamed and they have receded, and now she has a loose tooth. She
probably has gingivitis. I just got back from the vet, and she said
that it's common for small dogs to lose their incisor fron teeth, but
she's only 3! So the vet said that my dog is OK, but I think she's
wrong. I asked for antibiotics (which I don't want to give, but if it
will make it go away...) but the vet said that she thought it probably
wouldn't help, so I didn't get any. So anyway, I'm just wondering if
anyone has had any experience with this, and what they did. I try to
brush her teeth and apply remedies to it, but she hates brushing, and
just licks off any medicine.
