Hi, I get my pee pads off E Bay. I get a case of 200 for about $30.00 including the shipping.
I taught my Minnie to go potty in her crate. It has a grate in the bottom so it runs right through to the puppy pad and her feet never get wet. Her bed is a small cat bed that I cut down to the size that fits on the one side of her cage (it has a removable cover, so I could get away with cutting it down) and the pee pad goes under the grate on the other side of the crate. Because it only needs to cover one side of the crate, I can cut the pee pads in 1/2, so I get 400 pads. I usually have to change it only once a day, unless she has a really pee pee day, so a case of pads lasts a long time. I found her crates through E Bay also......a lot cheaper there. If anyone wants the links to the pads or crates let me know and I'll send them. I'm not the sellers.....LOL....I just like to help people save money :-)
By the way, I am new to the group....I am F/56/widowed, living in NE TN. I have a white with black markings, teacup chi, named Minnie. She will be 1 yr old Oct 23, and weighs about 7-8 lbs. She has me wraped around her little paw.....LOL. I had a most enjoyable evening last night looking at all the pictures of the chi's in this group and they r sooooooo adorable :-) TY all for sharing :-)

I have had great luck with the pee pads that I get at Wal-Mart, $6 something for 32 of them.  The are called OUT! Deluxe training pads. But don’t feel bad about keeping your babies in the kitchen, as long as they have water, a place to pee and a soft blanketed snuggly spot to sleep I am sure they are happy when you are away.  I think chi’s like small safe places I have a small crate for Trinity that I leave the door open and more often than not that is where she loves to burrow with her soft toys and blanket.

We recently got a male chi and he is just following her lead, she pees outside so does he, she pees on the pad so does he.  Our carpets and furniture love this arrangement.  I think I am lucky that he is not a leg lifter, he pees like a girl.  Actually that leads me to a question for the group, do your male chis lift or squat?  Sorry for the blunt question.  Just wondering, (personally, I think I like the squatting version better the constant leg lifting my sister’s bigger dogs do.  Thanks for any answers.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Oh Dear...

Okay folks, so I have a problem. A disgusting problem, so maybe one of
you can offer some advice. I have 2 Chihuahua's and I let them have
free roam of my apartment while I'm at work. I'm usually gone from 9-
5, and I feel guilty locking them in the kitchen all day. The problem
is-they urinate all over the carpet. I've put towels out for them to
go on, but it's hit and miss. Any suggestions? Thanks-
