This is why I still feed Minnie in her crate. My older chi....Lacie, outweighs Minnie by about 12 lbs and could hurt her if they ever get in a fight over food. Laci is getting old and doesn't have much patience. A good health guarantee. Letting you see/interact with the puppies. (Some say you can't because you might give them a disease - I wouldn't want a puppy I couldn't have some interaction with.) A breeder that only breeds one or two types of dog. Who doesn't have very many litters per year. Who raises them in their house as 'members' of their families. Socialization with people and other animals.
