our groups never contact anyone for transport. We just post the rout and the legs and wait for the volunteers to show up. What is really sad is when a transport is in the works for a month or so, and at the last minute is canceled because ONE leg has not been filled. Even sadder when that one missing leg results in a pet being PTS because it has extended its welcome at the local shelter. I have actually been considering unsubscribe from my groups because I can not handle the emotional impact of getting those emails that describe all the animals that will be pts in the morning or the one we all worked so hard on that has already been pts. I can't deal with it.

Hey, Marsha. I'm actually a no-mail member of Truck-N-Paws already. I went
to no-mail status because I'm post surgery and can only handle cats and very
small dogs right now, and the lists made it almost irresistable to ignore my
15-pound limitation. So I've only been doing transports for a couple of
rescues who know my limitations and contact me when I'm a good fit for a
transport.
