no, full blood, full bred is same thing. Supposedly only full blooded animals are suppose to be registered with such groups as AKC and CKC, but the fact of the matter is, there will always be liars out there. For instance, lets say I have two CKC chis, a male and a female. My neighbor has a chi mix. One day my female gets out, mates with the neighbors mixed breed. The pups LOOK like chis, so I lie and say that my two CKC's are the parents, thus the pups can be registered.....It happens way too much. That is one reason the AKC is starting to require so much DNA testing. Also a reason why so many people are leaving AKC for CKC which does not require that kind of proof.

Say what???  I thought the whole point of the registration papers was "proof."  Machi's CKC says "Purebred" and has the name of the breeder (Wade Burden)

Is there a difference between Purebred and full blooded?

As far as being CKC registered, does that prove they are full blooded?. No. Then again, neither does being AKC prove it. Because there will always be dishonest people out there who will lie on registration papers. No registration paper will ever prove that any dog is full blooded. >>
