Hi Marsha,

I don't know what Max would do, when the frontdoor was open. I assume he would
go off, because the parc is on the other side of the street and that is where
his friends are.

After a while my wrist turned blue and I got a lump on the inside, so I went to
the doctors-weekend-office. There I was sent to the hospital and X-rayed, but
nothing broken. In Dutch there is a saying "it will be over before I am a
boy"...only used by girls ofcourse. Men never use such a phrase, they wine
longer... :-)))

Hope you are feeling better from your fall!
This was not an unusual event with Cookie. I have to go after her alot because
she escapes (she is a real Houdini!) She is the only pet I have to confine
because she will go straight to the road and has no fear of cars. She got ran
over about 4 years ago and lost an eye as a result....that is when I made the
decision to confine her, and she did not learn a lesson! I was embarrassed
about the way I looked and knowing that half the people who passed me on the
road in our small rural community, knew me, lol. Many were teachers on their
way to school!! lol, but it was worth it to bring her home again. But, it was
my birthday and I had planned to treat myself by sleeping in late. Cookie had
other plans for me :-)

  Hi Marsha,

Next to laughing about your looks, it is terrifying. This morning I went for
a walk with Max and stepped on a stone under the leaves or so, I fell, but I
was able to hold the line. I've hurt my wrist and hip, but that will be OK.
Can't think of him being hurt by a car or anything. Good that you could catch
her again.

Yesterday morning my spitz got loose and ran off. I chased her for a mile
both through the woods and along the busy road (I was in my pajamas and my hair
looked like medusa!!) I was so tired from all the running and would have to
stop to take breaks...the brat would stop and wait for me to rest and as soon
as I was able to get up again, I swear she would look at me, laugh and take off
again! I finally caught her a mile from home and had to carry her all the way
back! There were a few times she came so close to being ran over and I was
crying hysterically. I Thank the good Lord I was one of the lucky ones that was
bale to bring my baby back!!

It's heartbreaking when you think something could happen to our
little babies. I don't know what I would do if my Chico ran off and
didn't come back. I don't even want to think about it.

I feel so bad for the person who lost their Chichi. I hope he
    returns safely.
