He has stretched her patience to the limits, and broken her heart. He strongly prefers me, almost never being aggressive toward me (though sometimes he is). But with her he growls, snarls, and sometimes snaps at her. It is so painful to see her approach him lovingly and have him react that way. it breaks my heart. Many times I've considered finding a new home for him. But being passed from person to person seems just too cruel, especially for a dog who obviously is a one-person type. Is this situation more typical of Chi's than other small breeds? If so then I can see why rescues might be picky about who they go to.
