I am so sorry about your baby Karen! That is so heartbreaking. I've never
experienced hydrocephala first-hand, but I don't believe its frequency is
higher in Chis. From what I understand the molera can render Chi-babies more
susceptable than other breeds to brain injury, but I don't believe it
necessarily means they are more likely to be hydro-babies. Others on the board
probably know much more than I do about this though.

With Chi's it doesn't matter if you have them for two weeks or 10 years you
can't help but fall in love with them, and that makes it so hard to lose one.
I'll be thinking about you and Bandit.

My daughters chihuahua had puppies 2 weeks ago and the one I chose
did
not grow and today she died, the vet said her fontanalle was full and
states hydrocephalic. Is this common? I am so upset she was white with
brown by her eyes and brown ears and a small brown spot on her rear. I
am going to miss Katie. I now will not get a new puppy. My Bandit is 14
years old and he has been my baby but he is showing signs of slowing.
Ijust was wondering if this is common. Karen
