I've also taken Bernie shopping with me and it's amazing how tolerant stores are of a small dog in your arms. We almost didn't make it out of Home Depot, with all the customers and employees trying to pet him -- and take him home with them! Most surprising wwas the day I walked into "Williams Sonoma" (an upscale kitchen/cooking/decor/gift store), and everyone was equally welcoming. I haven't tried a restaurant yet (and probably won't) but it's interesting to speculate. :)
